From the Community to the Community: Lunch and Learn, an initiative from the Santa Barbara Environmental Council.
The Community Environmental Council (CEC) was founded in 1970 as one of the first ecology centers nationwide. For more than 50 years, CEC has been at the forefront of environmental leadership-providing solutions, advocacy, and protection in response to the urgent challenges facing our planet today.
Located in the heart of downtown Santa Barbara, CEC operates out of The Hub, a modern and welcoming community space. Among its many initiatives is the Lunch and Learn series for the employees, where the doors are opened to local nonprofits and community partners to share knowledge, resources and inspiration.
During a recent Lunch and Learn conversation, our Executive Director, Erik Davis, gave a dynamic presentation introducing TVSB to the council. His engaging storytelling captured the room and sparked meaningful conversations about collaboration and community impact.
This initiative highlights the strength of Santa Barbara’s non-profit network and the importance of working together to build a more sustainable future.
If you’d like to learn more about TVSB and the services it provides to the community, be sure to join our monthly newsletter.
