Filmmaker Meetup at TVSB: Imagine, Connect and Create

Since the end of the last school year, TV Santa Barbara—together with our producers Hollie and Caleb—has been the meeting place that hosts this wonderful initiative they began: Filmmaker Meetup.

Filmmaker Meetup is a gathering space for all kinds of creators—filmmakers, photographers, musicians, and artists of every audiovisual discipline—who want to showcase their work and connect with others who are also beginning their journey in the worlds of audiovisual media, communication, and entertainment.

At these meetups, every type of creation is welcome: short films, photography, sketches, musical compositions, and more. The works come from students, young professionals, and freelancers who are seeking to make their way in this competitive and complex industry.

Filmmaker Meetup holds a special place for students from UCSB, Santa Barbara City College, and other high schools, community colleges, and universities who want to learn, share their work, and even teach their peers techniques that may not be available at other schools.

It’s a space to present your ideas, discover the ideas of others, build relationships, and, of course, keep an eye out for future and potential collaborations.
