Time for Fun In The Sun at TV Santa Barbara

It is summer at TV Santa Barbara, which means it is time for some Fun in the Sun! Between June and July the station has been honored by the visit of Fun in the Sun (FITS), the summer learning program organized by United Way of Santa Barbara County.

FITS is an award-winning summer learning program that was started in 1997 in order to address the “summer learning loss” as stated by United Way. 

During three days, the participants of FITS have been instructed in the very basic principles of Television Production. Camera and sound work, podcast and show production and even image and photo theory were some of the things taught through the funniest games!

During the FITS visits, our producers Caleb and Hollie took on mentoring roles for some of television’s future stars.
