TV Santa Barbara in the Community: Dolphin Derby Festival!

Santa Barbara, CA – July, 2025 

TV Santa Barbara was out in the community once again! This Sunday at Chase Palm Park, we attended the Dolphin Derby Festival — a fundraising event organized by Rotary Santa Barbara Sunrise.

2025 marked another year of the Dolphin Derby, a fun-filled fundraiser aiming to support local community service projects. By adopting a dolphin with a $10 donation, participants had the chance to compete in a high-stakes dolphin race for a $2,500 prize!

This free-entry festival featured delicious food from local vendors, plus music and dancing with DJ Darla and Friends.

Dolphin adoption and decoration, face painting, and games for all ages were just a few of the joyful activities that filled the air with excitement — all while giving attendees the chance to meet the local businesses that made the event possible. Enjoy the photos by Celia Bueno.
