TV Santa Barbara Announces Honorees for Celebration and Fundraiser to include Dr. Cynder Sinclair.
TV Santa Barbara is proud to recognize and honor Cynder Sinclair, Ph.D. at a Celebration and Fundraiser on Friday, June 7, 2024. Attendees can thank Dr. Sinclair for her advocacy for local nonprofit organizations and volunteer time as host of the 805Focus.
Cynder is best known for her TVSB show, 805Focus, her column in Noozhawk highlighting local nonprofit issues and her continuous support of our local nonprofit organizations. Cynder estimates she has hosted 750 episodes of 805Focus over the past ten years, giving voice to the nonprofit sector.
Through her business, Nonprofit Kinect, she helps boards and executives learn to lead with excellence as she guides them through a unique strategic process to ensure they accomplish their goals and achieve long-term sustainability. She also coaches nonprofit executives to confidently lead their organizations to success.
Cynder has been leading a wide variety of nonprofit organizations over the past 40 years. She also founded two charities in the San Joaquin Valley in the 1980s. Cynder holds a master’s degree in organizational management and a doctorate in organizational leadership. She moved to Santa Barbara in 1995 to accept the CEO position with the Girl Scout Council serving the central coast.
Cynder lives in Santa Barbara with her life partner, Dennis Forster. She has five children, 12 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She enjoys many outdoor activities such as snow skiing, cycling, water sports and hiking. Please attend the event and help us say Thank You to Dr. Cynder Sinclair.
