TVSB Covers the Independent’s Local Heroes Award

TV Santa Barbara is an active and committed member of the Santa Barbara community. As part of our continued involvement, TVSB videographers and producers regularly cover a wide range of local events, many of which represent the spirit, creativity, and shared values that define Santa Barbara. Among these meaningful occasions was the work carried out in December  2025, during the Local Heroes Luncheon, an event that celebrates excellence in local media and community engagement.

Every year, during the week before Thanksgiving, The Independent publishes the Local Heroes Issue, recognizing local individuals for their contributions and value to the community. Following the publication of the issue, honorees, dignitaries, and other members of the Santa Barbara community are invited to SOhO Restaurant to celebrate their achievements.

The heroes honored this year have been added to a list that now includes hundreds of names—community members whose contributions have been recognized over the past 40 years.
