Carpinteria City Council holds Second Hearing of 2022/23 Budget
JUNE 23, 2022 CARPINTERIA CITY COUNCIL SPECIAL MEETING — The City Council met to discuss the Adoption of the Proposed Budget Fiscal Year 2022/23 Budget, which has been posted online, and once adopted, will be revised and re-published in its final form. The City Staff shared with the Board that the budget is prosperous, which is evident in the progress toward more programs and services that the community has been vocal about, such as the Carpinteria Skatepark, Carpinteria Community Library and Carpinteria Community Pool.
The General Government, Community Development, Public Works, Parks, Recreation and Public Facilities, and Carpinteria Community Library departments presented their individual budgets. The Board moved to await approval for the budget until the next City Council meeting, which is Monday, June 27 and which will hold the third and final Public Hearing for the FY 2022/23 Budget.
